The Seasonal Garden

This year Ardgillan Castle will be holding more outdoor events with a keen focus on the beautiful and meticulous gardens that we have at Ardgillan. Our Head Gardener, Dominica McKevitt will be delivering a series of garden tours throughout the year to showcase the changing seasons in the gardens. This will give participants the opportunity to enjoy the garden all year round and learn about the work that goes into maintaining a garden of this size.

Mid-Summer Garden

Ardgillan’s summer gardens are looking spectacular. Summer is a great time to relax and enjoy the gardens. The rose garden is just past its peek but is still looking a highlight of our summer gardens.

Winter Garden

The winter has left the gardens at Ardgillan looking stark and enchanting. With the passing of the season we can now see life starting to return. An array of shrubs and flowers emanating a beautiful fragrance.

Late Autumn Garden

Dahlias are making a great display in the walled garden and adding beautiful colour to the herbaceous border. Many different varieties of Dahlia are creating an outstanding display.
