School Tours

Ardgillan Castle offers an exciting school tour, combining history with adventure. The castle tour provides an immersive experience where young minds can explore its grand halls, discover the stories of past residents. The new audio tour, told through the perspective of Lady Marianne Taylor during the 1800’s, takes us on a journey through the house as Marianne prepares for a dinner party. The addition of a fun activity sheet with puzzles and a “hide n seek” trail to find the hidden chicks throughout the house, ensures the children will leave with a newfound appreciation for history and heritage. This tour is designed to be both fun and educational.

Outside, the castle grounds offer a perfect blend of education and recreation. Students can wander through beautifully manicured gardens, enjoy the expansive lawns, visit our state of the art playground, complete the orienteering course or explore the self-guided Fairy Tree Trail dotted around the demesne.
