Steady Horizons Opened to resounding Success at Ardgillan Castle

An inspiring celebration of art, place and perspective. Local artist LJ Phelan launched her first solo exhibition of acrylic paintings.

Originally from County Laois, and now based in Skerries, LJ works from her studio in the Gardeners Cottage at Ardgillan Castle. This exhibition is really a celebration of Fingal, the place she now calls home, an an exploration of its coastline, light and atmosphere.

In LJ’s exhibition statement she says “These paintings aren’t about capturing the landscape exactly as it is, but more about how I see and experience it. Fingal is full of beauty, and I wanted to reflect that in a way that feels bold, vibrant and personal”.

The exhibition is running from 2nd – 31st of May in Ardgillan Gallery, located in the basement of the Castle.
