Whether it’s a movie, documentary, TV advert or music video, shoots can take place here in the stunning setting of Ardgillan Castle. A variety of productions have used Ardgillan Castle and Demesne as their location, making it Ireland’s most spectacular hidden gem.

Health & Safety: Insurance
All insurance must cover public liability and include Fingal County Council and Ardgillan Castle Ltd for €6,500,000. Additional insurance coverage or higher limits may be required based upon the risk level. These will be determined when the application is reviewed by risk managers. This additional coverage may include a higher limit for General Liability. Other insurance coverage may be required.
Risk Assessments are required for all work carried out inside the castle.
We also require all that an activity/disclaimer agreement is filled out before all work commences inside the castle.

Location: Fingal
Fingal is located in Leinster, and is part of North County Dublin. Ardgillan Castle is overlooking the coast of the Irish Sea and is 39km from Dublin City Centre and only 20 minutes drive from Dublin Airport.
Balbriggan Beach and Skerries Beach are also very close by to Ardgillan Castle and within walking distance.
Fingal County Council is the local authority for the county. The large urban areas include Blanchardstown, Swords, Balbriggan, Castleknock, Howth, Malahide and Portmarnock. The smaller rural areas are in the northern and western parts of Fingal County. Fingal is surrounded by the borders of County Meath, Kildare & is based in Dublin.
Filming at Ardgillan
Ardgillan Castle and Demesne is available for hire for filming and photoshoots. The Castle has stunning period rooms that would be the perfect background to any peroid feature. The rooms offer all the elegance and refinery of a stately home and the exterior of the castle and grounds are the perfect environment for a production. The rooms of the castle are available by the hour, daily or at weekly rates.
Permission to film in the park must be sought from Fingal County Council.
