Culture Night at Ardgillan Castle

Join Creative Places Balbriggan and Fingal Arts Office at Ardgillan Castle for the launch of Making Waves, a new seed funding initiative supporting 11 local artists to collaborate with community groups across Balbriggan through a range of socially engaged arts projects and creative programmes from September 2026 to February 2027. Meet the artists and participants, enjoy music, demonstrations and conversation, and learn more about the exciting creative journey that will unfold in the months ahead.

The evening also offers a unique opportunity to explore the artist studios within Ardgillan Castle and meet a number of new artists who have recently joined our creative community. Working alongside our established resident artists, they represent an inspiring range of disciplines including ceramics, painting, illustration, textiles, sculpture and mixed media. Wander through the castle’s corridors, discover creative hubs filled with live music and artistic activity, meet the makers, watch demonstrations, and learn more about their practices.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the new Self Guided Audio Tour and learn how the Taylor family once lived.

There is no better place to celebrate culture than within the beautiful and historic surroundings of Ardgillan Castle.

A free shuttle bus will depart from George’s Square, Balbriggan at 5.30pm and return after the event.
