Celebrating Our Resident Artists at Ardgillan Castle
Vibrant Creative Community
One of the great strengths of Ardgillan Castle is the vibrant community of artists who call it home. Our resident artists bring creativity, inspiration and a unique energy to the castle every day, helping to make it not just a historic landmark, but a living centre for arts and culture.

New Artistic Flare
We are delighted to welcome a number of new artists to our community this year: Christophe Capewell, Corrina Cunnane, Aisling Howley, Gracie Hawkins, Donna Ironmonger, Janani Rajkumar, Aisling Leneghan, Myra Noonan, Jane Packard and Diarmuid Woodcock. They join an established group of talented resident artists whose contribution over many years has helped shape the creative identity of Ardgillan Castle.

The range of disciplines represented across our studios is truly remarkable. From pottery and ceramics to painting, illustration, textiles, mixed media, sculpture and other creative practices, our artists demonstrate the breadth and diversity of contemporary artistic expression. Each artist brings their own perspective, skills and experience, creating a rich environment where ideas can develop, flourish and be shared.

Our resident artists contribute enormously to the atmosphere of the castle. Their presence adds colour, imagination and innovation to daily life, while their open studios, exhibitions, workshops and engagement with visitors create meaningful connections between art and the wider community. They enrich the visitor experience and help ensure that Ardgillan remains a welcoming place where creativity is celebrated and accessible to all.

Whether newly arrived or long established, every artist plays an important role in our creative community. We are grateful for their dedication, talent and enthusiasm, and we look forward to supporting their work and celebrating their achievements in the years ahead. Together, they help make Ardgillan Castle a place where heritage, creativity and community come together in a truly special way.
