Corrina Cunnane
Corrina Cunnane is an Irish abstract artist and mum based in Skerries. With a background in daytime television and fashion, she worked for many years in RTÉ as a Senior Researcher before moving into fashion styling. Creativity has always been at the heart of her work and personal life, eventually leading her to pursue her passion for art.
Drawn particularly to abstract expression, Corrina’s paintings explore bold neon and fluorescent colour, layered mark-making, and raw movement. Her work captures figures, faces, and scenes through emotion, energy, and distortion rather than realism.
Working mainly with acrylics and oils, she also enjoys repurposing vintage and forgotten frames into contemporary mixed-media artworks, giving old objects a new narrative and life.
Corrina is excited to develop her artistic practice during her residency at Ardgillan Castle, where she hopes to continue to evolve her distinctive visual style.
