Sun Shines on Inaugural “An Ghrian” Event at Ardgillan Castle
The inaugural An Ghrian celebration at Ardgillan Castle was a standout success, with sunshine, creativity, and community spirit combining to create a truly memorable Father’s Day weekend.A highlight of the programme was the sold-out storytelling session in the Drawing Room, where legendary author and storyteller Eddie Lenihan captivated audiences with his rich tales and folklore. Meanwhile, the Ardgillan Gallery hosted an exceptional reception led by Enda Brady and Anne Marie Kelly to launch Enda’s exhibition, “A Deck of Tales,” which was warmly received by attendees.

Live Music and Sunshine
Throughout the weekend, the castle grounds and interiors buzzed with activity. Visitors enjoyed a wide range of hands-on workshops, from jewellery making and clay tile creations to life drawing, offering something for all ages and interests. Adding to the lively atmosphere, the cheerful sounds of a Skerries Ukulele Strummers entertained guests, creating the perfect soundtrack for a sunny Father’s Day celebration.
