Located in North County Dublin, the castle and its grounds will become a lively hub of creativity, culture and community.

Imbolc Chanting Circle with Patricia Langton

Ease your way into Spring with an Imbolc Chanting Circle. We will sing simple chants and use gentle movements to celebrate Brigid and Imbolc.

Themes like Brigid’s Flame, Sacred Wells, the Hearth and Nature will be used to honour the season. No singing experience necessary.

St. Brigid Goddess Performance

Centered around St. Brigid, this performance will be delivered by a group of local actors, both adults and teenagers.

 

Music Performance by Big Cosmic Telephone

Big Cosmic Telephone are a new electronic folk duo, comprised of singer-songwriter Sophie Meehan and guitarist Richard Geraghty.

With lyrical storytelling taking centre stage, their music layers Sophie’s ethereal soprano vocals and Richard’s shimmering guitar effects to create a distinctive alt-folk sound. Their atmospheric, intimate live shows have seen them play to growing audiences at Culture Night, Vintage Room sessions and Festival in a Van. Big Cosmic Telephone invite audiences to feel deeply, sing freely and leave uplifted.

Join artist Maria Atanackovic for a relaxed, hands-on collage workshop inspired by the pioneering abstract artist Sophie Taeuber-Arp. Sophie’s work explored movement, geometry, and playful forms, blending simple shapes and patterns into lively, imaginative compositions. In this workshop which is part of MnáFest at Ardgillan Castle, Maria will guide you through working with form, colour, and composition to create your own unique abstract collages.
